Live Updates from GHSA state swimming and diving

ATLANTA — Check back for live updates from the Georgia High School Association State Swimming and Diving Finals at Georgia Tech. Dalton High School's boys team is competing in the Class A-5A competitions.

1:20 p.m.: Dalton's 200-yard medley relay (Taylor Dale, Pierson Scarborough, Ethan Young and Taylor Mathis) win a state title with a new record time of 1 minute, 32.93 seconds. The win earned the Catamounts 40 team points.

2:10 p.m.: Scarborough finished eighth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.04 seconds. He earned Dalton 11 team points.

2:35 p.m.: In 100 butterfly A final, Dale finishes first (49.86 seconds) and Young finishes second (50.49). In B final, Mathis finishes second (53.49). Those finishes earn Dalton 44 team points.

3:40 p.m.In the 100 backstroke A final, Dale finishes first (49.11 seconds) and Young finishes second (49.14). In the B final, Mathis finishes second (53.90). Those finishes earn Dalton 44 team points, a total of 139.

3:55 p.m.: Scarborough finishes sixth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.49 seconds. He earned Dalton 13 team points.

4:05 p.m.: Dalton's 400 freestyle relay (Dale, Scarborough, Young and Mathis) win a state title with a time of 3:10.83.

4:30 p.m.: Dalton High's boys swim team is announced as the GHSA Class A-5A state champions.
