AUSTELL —
Six Flags Over Georgia is adding an 11th roller coaster for next season, featuring a 95-foot lift and a first drop at 52 mph at an angle that’s beyond vertical.
Six Flags said Wednesday the $9 million Dare Devil Dive will open for the Memorial Day weekend. It’s designed and engineered by Gerstlauer Rides, based in Germany.
Six Flags says that after the first drop, the ride includes a combination of diving loops while executing three inversions, and a vertical U-turn high above the ground.
It’s the park’s first new roller coaster since it introduced Goliath in 2006.
