3 found dead in car in Union City

UNION CITY(AP) — Police have opened a homicide investigation after three people were found dead inside a car in Union City.

WSB-TV reports that a police officer found two bodies in a parked car about 5 a.m. Sunday. He then opened the trunk and found a third body.

Authorities are handling the case as a homicide, and police spokeswoman Gloria Hodgson says the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is involved.

Union City is located in Fulton County about 20 miles south of Atlanta.
