CALHOUN -- Gordon County detectives have arrested a minister on child molestation charges.
According to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office:
Randy Hufstetler, 52, of 420 Autry Road, Plainville, was arrested Friday afternoon without incident at his Plainville construction business in connection with the molestation of a local child. Hufstetler attended a local church in the Plainville community.
The charges stem from an investigation into reports of innappropriate contact with a then-11-year-old girl who attended the same church with Hufstetler a number of years before.
Hufstetler has been charged with two counts of child molestation.
Detectives have interviewed a second young person acquainted with Hufstetler and who is believed to have been victimized.
The investigation is continuing. Hufstetler remains in the Gordon County Jail pending a bond hearing.
