Rainy weather continues

ATLANTA — Rain is continuing to fall across Georgia, and a few counties remain under a flood warning.

The National Weather Service says the warning is in effect for Carroll, Coweta and Heard counties for possible flooding from the Chattahoochee River.

The weather service also issued the warning for the Tallapoosa River affecting Haralson County, Big Creek affecting Forsyth and north Fulton counties and the Oconee River affecting Clarke, Greene and Oconee counties. About 2 inches of rain fell in the Atlanta area on Wednesday. Rainy weather is expected to continue through the weekend.

Amnesty program for jury dodgers comes to an end

Authorities in a metro Atlanta county say an amnesty program for people who ducked jury duty in the past is now coming to an end.
