MARIETTA —
Police in Marietta say more than 1,000 people are expected for services for a suburban Atlanta family killed in a deadly interstate crash in Florida.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/xwLJmD ) that a visitation is planned for 1:30 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Marietta. That will be followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. in the church.
Pastor Jose Carmo Jr.; his wife, Adrianna; and their daughter, Leticia, died in the Jan. 29 interstate pileup that killed 11 people total. Also killed were Jose Carmo’s brother, Edson, and his brother’s girlfriend, Rose.
The surviving member of the family, 15-year-old Lidiane Carmo, is still hospitalized in Florida and will not attend the service.
Jose Carmo was a pastor at the International Church of the Restoration in Marietta.
