AUGUSTA —
Sheriff’s officials in east Georgia are searching for a man they say drove a $5,000 motorized shopping cart out of a grocery store and hasn’t been seen since.
The Augusta Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/IKJlrw) that the man was recorded on video driving the scooter out the front doors of the Food Lion store in Richmond County Wednesday morning.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of the Mart-Cart brand motorized scooter.
The suspect is described as an older white male with gray hair, about 5 feet 7 or 8 inches tall, and about 200 pounds. He was wearing a green jacket, khaki pants and a ball cap.
