Two area high school sports events scheduled for today have been postponed because of inhospitable playing conditions from recent rain.
Dalton's boys soccer game against Habersham Central at Harmon Field and Christian Heritage's home baseball game against Hapeville, both set for 3 p.m. starts, have been called off. Makeup dates for neither event have been determined.
When local athletic events are canceled, postponed or rescheduled for any reason, coaches are urged to notify the paper in advance of the originally scheduled time by calling (706) 272-7742, 272-7732 or 272-7734. Notifications may also be sent to sports@daltoncitizen.com.
