The Dalton Rebels lacrosse team will make its official debut today, traveling to Chattanooga’s McCallie School for a pair of games.
Dalton will play McCallie at 10 a.m. and take on the Chatt-anooga Fellowship of Christian Athletes team at 11:15.
“Everything is going great with a lot of enthusiastic kids,” said Mike Sanderson, coordinator and coach of the Rebels, who are associated with the Dalton Parks and Recreation Department. “We’ve had a lot of great support from the community and can’t wait to get on the field.”
The Rebels are a first-year program that has brought out more than 30 players. Dalton will make its home debut a week from today at the DPRD’s John Davis Recreation Center on Civic Drive.
