ATLANTA —
Registration is open for the 32nd annual Georgia Mid-Amateur Championship, which takes place May 17-19 at The Savannah Golf Club.
This Georgia State Golf Association event is open to male amateur golfers age 25 or older as of May 17. The field will consist of 144 players, and non-exempt players enter through one of six statewide 18-hole qualifiers.
The championship’s format is 54 holes of stroke play, with the field cut to the low 70 and ties after 36 holes.
Last year, Dalton’s David Noll, Jr. entered the final round with a seven-stroke lead, posted a par 72 and held off a late charge from Chase Jones of Cartersville to capture his second Georgia Mid-Amateur Championship by two strokes at Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth. Noll finished at 11-under-par 205, two strokes ahead of Jones.
To enter, visit gsga.org and click “Event Registration” at the top of the page. Registration deadline is March 6.
