Here are this week’s news and notes from the world of pro wrestling: Oct. 15? That’s the return date Jerry “The King” Lawler is targeting for his return to WWE’s “Raw.”
He told espn.com that his voice sounds “terrible,” but he thinks a few more weeks of rest would serve him well. If he doesn’t return for the Nashville “Raw,” he would like to be back for the Oct. 16 taping of “Smackdown” in his hometown of Memphis.
Lawler suffered a heart attack on air last month.
• The Rock will host a reality show on TNT titled “Hero.” It’s an adventure-style show that will be taped outside of the United States.
