• Total WWE Wrestlemania 28 buys were 1.21 million, an increase of 14.9 percent from last year’s event.
• Former wrestler Rita Lee passed away last week in Tennessee. She was 73. She wrestled during the 1960s and 1970s.
The Local Corner: Action continues at TWA.
TWA Friday Night Brawl runs at 8 p.m. at the TWA Arena off Reed Road in north Whitfield County, about three miles north of the bypass. The TWA Action Zone runs at 8 p.m. on Saturdays. Tickets for all shows are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 6 to 12; senior citizens 60 years and older with proof of age will be admitted for $3. Kids younger than 6 are admitted free. Any military member with proper identification will be admitted free. If it’s your birthday, you will be admitted free.
Action continues at Georgia National Wrestling/Dixie Championship Wrestling. The GNA/DCW road tour’s final summer stop is at 7 p.m. on Aug. 30 at Rush Fitness in Dalton for “Rushamania 2.”

Omega Wrestling Federation presents a show on Aug. 24 featuring wrestlers from TWA and RCW. The show is at 580 N. 2nd Ave., behind the Auto Zone. Ticket are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 6 to 12. Kids younger than 6 are admitted free.
