Rain washed away Friday’s area prep events and most have been rescheduled.
Northwest Whitfield’s home baseball game against Ridgeland will now be played today at 5 p.m. Christian Heritage’s baseball game at Flint River has been moved to April 2 at Dalton.
In soccer, Dalton and Southeast’s boys game will be played on Monday at 6 p.m. at Harmon Field and the girls’ game has been moved to Mar. 31 at 5:30. Northwest’s Region 7-4A matchup against Cass will be played Mar. 24 at 5:30 p.m. in Tunnel Hill. Murray County will host 7-4A foe Woodland, also on Mar. 24 at 5:30.

Bruins soccer coach, Perez brothers honored by Region 7-4A coaches
Northwest Whitfield’s boys soccer team played in the region that produced this season’s Class 4A state champion, but Bruins coach Ryan Scoggins still got a favorable nod from his peers.
