The Dalton Inline Hockey League continued its 2012-13 season with a sixth week of play Tuesday at The Zone Skate Center.
In elementary/middle school division competition, Luke Cochran had all but one of the Fire Blazers’ goals as they squeaked out a 5-4 victory against the Speeding Bullets.
Jamesen Shook, who assisted on one of Cochran’s scores, notched the other goal for the Fire Blazers. Leading the Speeding Bullets were Erica Tallent (four goals), Harrison Cochran (two assists), Dara Cochran (one assist) and Amos Koop (one assist).
Also, Keith Cochran had 15 saves and William Hernandez stopped 18 shots as each goalie defended the same net for the entire match.
In high school/college division competition, the Silver Bullets topped the Trail Blazers 6-2, with the winners leading 3-0 after the opening period.
Chris Scibillia led the Silver Bullets with three goals and an assist, while Taylor Harper chipped in a pair of goals, Erica Tallent contributed a goal and two assists and Jonathan Cochran had two assists. Jonathan Davis grabbed 28 saves.
For the Trail Blazers, Abigail Cochran and Jason Cochran each had a goal and an assist, while Michael Koop had two assists and Alexis Tallent finished with 11 saves.

A state championship is a nice accomplishment on its own, but an undefeated mark makes a team’s status elite even among the title winners.
