Here are the notes and news items from the week in the world of pro wrestling: WWE officials are moving ahead with plans for a network.
WWE CFO George Barrios spoke about the plans at an industry trade show recently. He said the company’s 100,000-hour library offers plenty of opportunities for programming.
One program that scored well with focus groups follows the Monday night wars between WWE and WCW in the 1990s and early 2000s.
• The Rock isn’t scheduled to appear at the “Raw” 20th anniversary show on Jan. 14, 2013.
The Local Corner: Action continues at TWA.
TWA Friday Night Brawl runs at 8 p.m. at the TWA Arena off Reed Road in north Whitfield County, about three miles north of the bypass. The TWA Action Zone runs at 8 p.m. on Saturdays. Tickets for all shows are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 6 to 12; senior citizens 60 years and older with proof of age will be admitted for $3. Kids younger than 6 are admitted free. Any military member with proper identification will be admitted free. If it’s your birthday, you will be admitted free.
