After stringing together a four-meet win streak, the Dalton Dolphins let one slip away.
The Dolphins lost 382-373 at Stuart Heights on Thursday in Chattanooga Area Swim League Blue Division action.
Oscar Chenard, Raul Valdez and Ethan Young each scored the individual maximum of 19 points for the Dolphins, who fell to 4-2 in dual meets. Abby O’Ferrall, Ross Valdez and Reese Bingham each added 17 points.
Other notable scorers for the Dolphins were Hollie Porter (16), Andria Arriola, Lindsey Mulkey and Ethan Pence (14); Henry Bethel and Alex Mashburn (13); Roman Valdez and Abigail Crawford (12); Tyler Stephenson (11); and Romina Mendoza and Taylor Mathis (10).
For the Sharks (4-2), George Von Cannon, Missy Karman, April Forsthoffer and Ryan Forsthoffer each scored 19 points. Cayce Grall and Mikaya Reynolds added 17.
After losing to rival Signal Mountain in the season-opening meet, the Dolphins took control of the division and sat alone in first place after avenging the loss to the Green Giants last week.
However, Thursday’s result creates a three-way tie for first place between Dalton, Stuart Heights and Signal Mountain with two meets remaining on each team’s schedule, including a matchup between the latter two on Monday.
