Gladden’s eighth-grade girls basketball team overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to win 37-26 against North Whitfield on Monday in Chatsworth.
Allie Davis had 14 points to lead the Lady Warriors (5-5), and all of her scoring came during a third quarter in which Gladden outscored the Lady Pioneers 21-3. Aubrie Osborne added 10 points for Gladden, while Hannah Caldwell had seven and Ashley Harrison had five.
• New Hope eighth girls 48, Gladden 15: Whitley Brooker’s 12-point effort paced the Lady Kodiaks (14-3) to Tuesday’s win, while Peyton Maret added 10 points, and Lexi Storey, Madelyn Logan and Mary Kate Allen each chipped in six.
• New Hope eighth girls 59, Westside 10: Storey had 17 points to lead New Hope in Monday’s victory. Madleyn Logan added 13 points, Whitley Brooker had 11 and Mary Kate Allen finished with eight.
• Valley Point eighth girls 38, Bagley 16: Alonda Bennett had six points for the Lady Braves (1-9) in Monday’s loss.
• New Hope seventh girls 54, Gladden 3: Gabby Wright led all scorers with 15 points in Tuesday’s win, while Bria Clemmons and MiKayla Russell each chipped in eight and Aubrey Young had six.
• New Hope seventh girls 31, Westside 13: Kylee Ward’s 12 points led the way for New Hope on Monday, with Russell pulling down 10 rebounds in the win.
• Valley Point seventh girls 24, Bagley 22 (OT): The Lady Green Waves outscored Bagley 10-4 in the fourth quarter to force overtime, then scored the only two points in the extra period to pick up the win Monday. Katelyn Crumbley had 12 points for the Lady Braves (5-5) in the loss.
• North Whitfield eighth boys 53, Westside 46 (OT): Ty Pendley had 24 points to lead the Pioneers (8-2) past previously unbeaten Westside on Tuesday. Josue Dominguez added 16 and Alex Fisher had 13 for North Whitfield, while Westside was led by Jacob Asbury (16) and Alejandro Coronel (11).
• Westside eighth boys 46, New Hope 27: Levi Mosteller and Asbury each had nine points to lead the Rockets to victory Monday.
• Bagley eighth boys 43, Valley Point 29: Jordan Couch’s 11-point effort paced the Braves (5-5) to victory on Monday, while Lucas Sexton and Josh North each had nine and Jordan Adams chipped in six.
• Westside seventh boys 56, North Whitfield 26: Paxton Pardee and Alex Hooker each had 11 points on Tuesday to lead the Rockets, who remained undefeated through 10 games this season.
• Westside seventh boys 48, New Hope 35: Pardee led all scorers with 21 points and Hooker added 15 as the Rockets won Monday.
• Valley Point seventh boys 49, Bagley 33: Blake Davis had 14 points, J.T. Langford chipped in eight and Brody Frazier scored six for the Braves (5-5) in Monday’s loss.

Club soccer: Northwest Soccer Academy wins state, starts quest for next title
This past Saturday, the Belles won the U-17 Georgia President’s Cup, beating the Bartow Youth Soccer Association Galaxy 1-0 on a first-half goal from Courtney Bell, who plays high school soccer for Heritage-Catoosa.

With the win, the Belles will represent the Peach State at the United States Youth Soccer Association’s Region 3 championships scheduled for June 7 to 10 in Greensboro, N.C. The region champion will move on to compete at the USYSA National President’s Cup during July in Sacremento, Calif. - Cook and Richards take first at local 5K
