Taylor Dale and Ethan Young will compete today in USA Swimming’s 2012 Speedo Winter Junior National Championships at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Both are Dalton High students and members of the Carpet Capital Aquatics Club, which is the organization the pair is competing for. Each will swim in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke events and 100 and 200 butterfly events. Dale also will swim the 200 freestyle. Dale, a senior, is a three-time GHSA state champion. Young is a freshman.
The preliminaries start at 8:30 a.m.
