Here are the notes and news from the week in pro wrestling:
• Another wrestler has died young. Former WWE grappler Lance Cade (Lance McNaught) died last Friday from heart failure. He was 29.
He began his career in 1999 and made several stops on the independent circuit before settling in with WWE. Cade, along with former partner Trevor Murdoch, held the WWE World Tag Team championships three times.
• Is Bill Goldberg next? WWE added Goldberg to its alumni page on its website, trumpeting the move with a front-page announcement. This move has fueled speculation Goldberg will return to the organization for one final match.
• WWE “Smackdown” moves to the Syfy channel on Oct. 1 at 8 p.m.
