All-star football begins

— The Whitfield County Parks and Recreation Department’s began Georgia Recreation and Park Association All-Star Football competition on Tuesday. Scores, highlights and remaining game schedules:



Flea 7-8

• Dalton All-Stars 14, Whitfield All-Stars 0: (D) Henry Bethel, 1-yard touchdown run; Ashton Blackwell, 5-yard touchdown run and PAT; Brady Pendley, PAT.

In 6:30 p.m. games today, Dalton will play Cartersville at the Cartersville Recreation Department and Whitfield County will play Bartow County at Southeast Whitfield. On Saturday at the Bartow County Recreation Department, Dalton will play Bartow County at 10 a.m. and Whitfield County will play Cartersville at 11:15 a.m.



Mite 9-10

• Whitfield All-Stars 32, Dalton All-Stars 0: (W) Andrew Sage, 32-yard touchdown run and four PATs kicked for two points each; Ethan Arnold, 5-yard touchdown run; Michael King, 15-yard touchdown run; Jake Moser, 1-yard touchdown run.

Today, Dalton will play Bartow County at 6:30 p.m. at the Bartow County Recreation Department and Whitfield County will play Cartersville at 7:45 p.m. at the Cartersville Recreation Department. On Saturday at Southeast Whitfield, Whitfield County will play Bartow County at 11 a.m. and Cartersville will play Dalton at 12:15 p.m.



Midget 11-12

• Bartow All-Stars 20, Whitfield All-Stars 8: (W) Maddox Adams, 1-yard touchdown run; Gave DeFoor, PAT kicked for two points.

At 7:45 p.m. today, Whitfield County will play Dalton at Southeast Whitfield and Cartersville will play Bartow County at the Bartow County Recreation Department. On Saturday at the Cartersville Recreation Department, Dalton will play Bartow County at 10 a.m. and Cartersville will play Whitfield County at 11:15 a.m.
