The Daily Citizen is compiling its master schedule for fall sports for area middle and high schools.
Athletic directors and coaches are asked to send schedules and rosters for cheerleading, cross country, football, softball and volleyball to sports@daltoncitizen.com as soon as possible. This information will be used for the Local Prep Schedule, which appears daily in the newspaper’s Scoreboard section and online at daltonnow.com
/events.

Both Dalton High School and Northwest Whitfield finished in the top 10 of the 2012-2013 Georgia Athletic Directors Association’s Regions Director’s Cup Class 4A standings, which rank schools based on their performance in athletics throughout the year. An impressive showing for Dalton High School in the Regions Director’s Cup is standard procedure. But this year, two area teams earned top-10 finishes.
