Area arrests

• Lora Ann Caldwell, 41, 321 Old Appison Road, Cohutta, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of methamphetamine and being a fugitive from justice.

• Michael Scott House, 29, 936 Shire Lane, Bowling Green, Ky., was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary (forced entry, residence).

• David Daniel Mantooth, 31, 1344 Peggy Lane, Tunnel Hill, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth.

• Jessica Lynn Newton, 22, 44 Oak Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with first degree forgery.

• Ruth Elizabeth Reynolds, 71, 3250 River Road, Dalton, was charged Monday at the Whitfield County jail with cruelty to a child.

• Jose Rodriguez-Ruvacaba, 35, 823 Heritage Circle, Dalton, was placed on hold Monday at the Whitfield County jail by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Kristy Dawn Victor, 32, 2815 Clearview Place, Doraville, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of meth and possession of drug-related items.

• Melissa Nichole Gardina, 29, 1344 Peggy Lane, Tunnel Hill, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth.

• Demetrio Merito Jr., 22, 10426 Stafford Creek Court-207, Lehigh Acres, Fla., was charged Tuesday at the Whitfield County jail with first degree forgery.
