Area arrests

• Michael Horace Bowen, 38, 7589 Tails Creek Road, Ellijay, was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and drug-related objects.

• Jeremy Allan Burns, 29, 512 Parkside Place Apartments-59E, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with battery-family violence (first offense), failure to appear and cruelty to a child.

• Melinda Charlene Gribble, 27, 3209 Maple Grove Drive N.W., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a schedule 4 drug and possession of methamphetamine.

• Sadie Nicole Turner, 19, 1302 Morrice Drive, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with burglary (forced entry, residence).

• Darrell Len Hefner, 41, 126 Citizen Drive, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of meth, use of a firearm by a convicted felon during a crime, possession of tools for the commission of a crime (violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act), two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm on or near a public highway or street.

• Savannah Dionne Lumpkin, 25, 512 Parkside Place Apartments-59E, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with battery-family violence (first offense) and cruelty to a child.

• John Anthony Ruiz, 20, 607 N. Selvidge St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated stalking.

• Frankie Edward Tenney, 43, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, a turning violation and possession of drug-related objects.
