Area arrests

• Alexx Neil Goodman, 23, 2797 Highway 76, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with obstruction of an officer, expired vehicle tag or decal, no insurance, too fast for conditions, reckless driving, DUI, failure to drive within single lane and adult seat belt violation.

• Rhonda Gail Daniel, 47, 3831 Hurricane Road, Rocky Face, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, open container violation and no license on person.

• Terri Dean Stewart, 48, 9664 Old 411 Road S., Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with speeding, driving with suspended or revoked license and purchase or possession of controlled substance.

• Alejandro Vega-Carmona, 26, 5369 Bells Ferry Road No. 602; Acworth, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with second degree homicide by vehicle, failure to maintain lane and driving without a license.

• Richard Allen Cochran, 46, 4419 Old Dixie Highway, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Chatsworth Police Department with disregarding officer directing traffic and DUI.

• Shana Rene Johnston, 23, 1178 Highway 225 S., Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with drugs not in original container, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and giving false name, address or date of birth to law officer.

• Joey Lee Owens, 30, 100 Springdale Road No. 59, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of methamphetamine and driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• Daniel Peterson, 29, 201 South Ash, Frontenac, Ky., was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and open container violation.

• Matthew Walter Pitts, 30, 801 Chattanooga Ave., Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.

• Tresha Irene Porter, 35, 1018 10th Ave. N., Great Falls, Mich., was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and open container violation.

• Tracy Rood, 36, 1222 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with DUI and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Joseph Ramsey Whitfield II, 19, 39 Collins Run Drive, Dallas, Ga., was charged Sunday by the Chatsworth Police Department with improper stopping, DUI and underage consumption.
