Area arrests

• Mary Center, 44, 1017 Smith Springs Drive, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by shoplifting, possession of a hallucinogen and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Robert Steven Kephart, 36, 3559 Dug Gap Road, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, change of address or name violation, failure to maintain lane and open container violation.

• Ashley Ann Powell, 28, 196 Haig Mill Road, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of methamphetamine.

• Richard Allen Stepp, 39, 302-B Harper Lane, Tunnel Hill, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with terroristic threats and acts.

• Rickey Allen Davenport, 45, 20 Windmill Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• David Grant Grusnick, 23, 4102 Dogleg Drive, Cohutta, was charged Tuesday by the Chatsworth Police Department with felony interference with government property.
