• Jaime Esponoza-Melendez, 36, 828 Liberty Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with first degree forgery, identity theft fraud and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• John Anthony Lee, 27, 4665 Old Dixie Highway SE, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with terroristic threats and acts.

• Dallas Marshall, 43, 123 Sequoyah Terrace, Calhoun, was placed on hold Thursday at the Whitfield County jail by the Georgia State Patrol (for Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office).

• Mauricio Mendoza-Acuna, 27, 828 Liberty Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

• Daniel Vernon Rowell, 38, 810 Beirut Place, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs and felony interference with government property.
