Area arrests

• Christopher D. Diaz, 18, 211 Eastside Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI (glue, aerosol or toxic vapor), failure to exercise due care, driving too fast for conditions and failure to maintain lane.

• Faith Charity Hackney, 20, 820 Shugart Road-C7, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of tools for the commission of crime (violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act).

• Jeremy Alexander McArthur, 23, 208 Walker St.-1, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of or intent to sell marijuana, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of tools for the commission of crime (violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act).

• Donna Larene Melton, 50, 709 Crane Way, Tunnel Hill, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI.

• Heather Erlene Ray, 26, 3401 Discovery Lane, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by taking and felony probation violation.

• Stanton Joel Sparks, 39, 140 W. Nance Springs Road, Resaca, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of methamphetamine and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Lisa Ann Tacker, 51, 2319 Second St.-C, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI and failure to yield while turning left.

• Kurt Daniel Webb, 31, 326 Fourth St., Cleveland, Tenn., was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI.

• Casey Adam Herron, 24, 2753 River Road, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with battery.

• Randy Lamar Hufstetler, 56, 2850 Joe Frank Harris, Cartersville, was charged Wednesday by the Georgia State Patrol with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, speeding and DUI.

• David Euel Parham, 48, 199 Jon Court, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Eton Police Department with DUI.
