Area arrests

• Jansen Dewayne Faulknor, 34, 2825 Suncrest Drive, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of marijuana, willful obstruction of law officers and felony tampering with evidence.

• James Burley Hill, 54, 926-A Mount Vernon Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Monday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with felony theft by receiving stolen property, DUI and seat belt violation.

• Victor Perez-Perez, 40, 1990 Woodlawn Road, Chatsworth, was placed on hold Monday at the Whitfield County jail by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Richard Hutchinson, 53, 32 Sue Lane, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI.

• Deborah Gail Messer, 59, 5004 Jackson Road, Apison, Tenn., was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with a turning violation, reckless driving, DUI, failure to maintain lane and following too closely.
