Area arrests

• Curt Lebron Byers, 42, 2613 Roberts Ave. S.E., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary.

• Manuel Rodrigo Cruz, 33, 124 Weaver Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with driving while unlicensed, DUI, fleeing and failure to maintain lane.

• Adalberto Diaz, 40, 2905 Whittier Way, Cumming, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and driving without a valid license.

• Gonzalo Garcia-Alonzo, 46, 308 Quillian Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Varnell Police Department with driving while license suspended or revoked and being a habitual violator with revoked license.

• Melissa Nicole Gardina, 27, 1504 Charles Drive, Knoxville, Tenn., was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of methamphetamine.

• James Dewitt King, 47, 2916 Huckleberry Lane, Rocky Face, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary.

• Guy Zachariah Lynch, 28, 59 Kelley Lane, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with sale of methadone, sale of morphine, theft by taking (two counts) and probation violation.

• Ruth Jeannette Maples, 40, 1045-B Cohutta Beaverdale Road, Cohutta, was charged Tuesday by the Varnell Police Department with financial transaction card theft and criminal receipt of goods/service obtained by fraud.

• David Vicente, 34, 184 Chance Drive N.W., Calhoun, was placed on an immigration hold in Whitfield County on Tuesday by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Ashley Nicole Willis, 22, 245 Stadium Way, Apt. D-1, Cohutta, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony party to a crime.

• Phyllis Ann Young, 41, 506 Underwood St., No. 74, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Diego Andres-Matias, 29, 500 Underwood St., No. 5, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with first degree forgery and giving false information to a law enforcement officer.

• David Wallace Boyd, 48, 116 Abilene Trail, Apt. 8, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession with intent to distribute meth, possession with intent to distribute barbituates and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
