Area arrests

• Fred Richard Garland, 42, 1006 Haven Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and DUI (endangering a child).

• Christian Bernard Homrich Jr., 36, 412 Barney Pierce Road, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and disorderly conduct.

• Natasha Lea Ann Johnson, 26, 150 Dickerson Way, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of cocaine to distribute, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, giving a false name or address or date of birth to a law officer and requiring or permitting unlawful operation of vehicle.

• Scott Harrison Lee, 23, 1801 Southmont Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and failure to drive within a single lane.

• Brandon Markeis Love, 28, 1700 Beechland Place-4, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of cocaine to distribute, sale of or intent to sell marijuana, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, giving a false name or address or date of birth to a law officer, driving while license is suspended or revoked, improper lane change or usage and a safety belt violation.

• Lee Andrew Mitchell, 34, 1632 Bradley Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with two counts of felony theft by shoplifting, one count of misdemeanor theft by shoplifting, criminal trespass and probation violation.

• Dawn Michelle Murphy, 20, 22 Laurel Drive, Ellijay, was charged Friday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of drug-related objects, DUI and failure to obey a yield sign.

• Chasity Renee Pitts, 35, 88 Hooker Lane, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with probation violation, theft by shoplifting and drugs not in original container.

• Bennie Tibbs, 50, 137 Sage Way, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Jacob Lyle Swanson, 23, 486 Megan Drive, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with drugs not in original container and probation violation.
