Area arrests

• James Paul Bethune, 25, 119 Hillwood Drive, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• James Allen Elkins Jr., 47, 217 Roberts Drive, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a hallucinogen and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

• Justin Dewayne Fowler, 23, 192 Oak Hills Estate, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of morphine, possession of hydrocodone and drugs in wrong container.

• Walfri Hernan Hernandez-Hernandez, 28, 609 N. Hamilton St., Dalton, was placed on hold Wednesday at the Whitfield County jail by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Darien Christopher Houston, 41, 1804 Wilcox Blvd., Chattanooga, was charged Wednesday by the Varnell Police Department for being a fugitive from justice (Hamilton County, Tenn. Sheriff’s Office).

• Daron Lavert Ramsey, 25, 700-A Reed Pond Road, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of cocaine, sale of or intent to sell marijuana and felony probation violation.

• Roberto Raymundo-Lopez, 34, 103 N. Grade Drive, Dalton, was placed on hold Wednesday at the Whitfield County jail by ICE.
