Letter: Juvenile shield laws need to be looked at

When courts and public schools are allowed by law to protect the identity of a 16-year-old student who brings a loaded and illegal weapon to school, it’s hardly a wonder that schools are such an easy mark for the mentally unstable.

Murray County did a fine job ensuring that the gunman “will never again darken the doors” of their schools but what about their neighbors’ doors?
