The Dalton High School Catamounts take the field tonight at 7:30 against Sandy Creek in the second round of the Class 4A football state playoffs.
Sandy Creek is currently 11-0 and ranked No. 1 in the Class 4A state polls. Meanwhile, the Cats have won six straight after starting the season 2-3. That’s a tough matchup, but the Cats can count on the support of the entire Dalton community.
This marks the first time since 2005 that the Cats have made it to the second round of the state playoffs. The team has played through adversity and triumphed with class. They’ve made their school and their community proud.
We encourage everyone in Dalton who can to turn out and show that pride tonight in Tyrone and cheer on the Cats.
