Mitt Romney could be better described as a “fixer” rather than a politician. Why, or how, do I arrive at this description?
First, I believe his choice as a running mate, Paul Ryan, demonstrates this fact. Rather than choosing someone for their popularity and charisma, he chose someone with the knowledge to get the job done. He chose someone to serve with a track record of constructive ideas.
Second, from his history of fixing a failing business, Romney sees the nation itself in a serious downfall. He looks at the challenge in serving where he has expertise. He sees the nation in freefall with unemployment, debt and lack of respect around the world.
Third, Mr. Romney has the track record and ability to meet a challenge. One only need to look at what he has accomplished in the past with his record of making analysis of a problem and finding the resources to solve it. He genuinely cares for people of this nation, and is confident he can fix it.
It is clear that he needs no money because he provides for his family very well, as evidenced by his wife and children. His strong desire to do the same for the “nation he loves” comes across loud and clear.
Whether domestic or international, he is driven by a strong desire to fix it. He quickly sees the bad choices made by a novice. How do we know this? We must look at their background and track record. Mr. Romney’s background is an open book. The president’s record is either unknown or covered up. Sure, we know a little, he was a lawyer, but not one case has he shown. He was a community organizer with nothing to put your finger on. He was a senator without one single offering to mention. His track record of achievement is nonexistent. His record in his current office is dismal, both foreign and domestic.
Mr. Romney has said he will not leave our people assigned to any foreign country without ample protection and resources to keep them safe. Those now assigned to protect our ambassadors should be fired for their neglect. Leadership failure is the mark of this administration. We should stop immediately the pouring of millions of dollars into nations that hate us. That is only common sense!
If we are to be a leader in the free world, we need to start at home by electing someone with a history of sound judgment vetted by the party that nominates them rather than someone we know nothing about.
