The media refers to it as a controversial issue. The world refers to it as political correctness. God’s Word refers to it as an abomination.
Mr. Cathy, of Chick-fil-A, did not start this controversy. This began back in Genesis 19 where God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of their sexual perversion; it was his judgment due to their choices.
We as Christians cannot sit idly by and do nothing. We are called by God to make the truth known (his truth, not ours, and not society’s).
It is because we love others that we must tell the truth, homosexuality is a choice and it is sin. God will not create a person predestined to condemnation (please read Psalm 139 and John 3:16).
Homosexuals can change, and are not trapped by their genetic makeup. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, God’s Word states, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the Kingdom of God and such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the spirit of our God.”
We are all sinners saved by grace. I have homosexual and lesbian friends; because I love them as Christ loves his church, I am responsible for sharing this truth with them. When we truly speak from God’s Word, in love, there is no discrimination.
God said in Genesis 1:27-28, “So God created male and female. Then God blessed them, and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, fill the Earth and subdue it.’” Same-sex marriages are not OK, and they are not ordained, nor are they blessed by God.
My main concern for writing this letter is that we all need to repent from whatever sin so easily entangles us and get right with the Lord.
He is coming again, soon! Will you be ready?
