Illegal immigration and the lack of border security are among the main problems facing America. The flood of unskilled laborers, who use more in resources than they contribute, appears endless.
Numbersusa.com is an established immigration reform group which has monitored the immigration problem for years. One may go to their website and see the report cards of current and former congress persons.
This sorts out the talk from the action.
Numbersusa has graded Nathan Deal with an A+ career grade from 1993 to 2010. Legislation he has sponsored include the elimination of anchor baby citizenship, i.e., automatic citizenship to a child born of illegal alien parents. He also has top marks in legislation to reduce chain migration, and reducing jobs and benefits for illegal aliens.
Mr. Deal’s ranking covers 17 years. He has a record in immigration reform which can be read, and which can be backed up by facts. This is much more than promises made by his opponent.
While nothing can replace the federal government’s failure to enforce immigration law on the books, Nathan Deal as governor will come close.
If you are concerned with the loss of jobs to low skilled, illegal foreign labor, and the extremely high cost of benefits which they receive, vote for Nathan Deal in the runoff election Aug. 10.
