Letter: Thank you Regency Park

DALTON — As I begin to write this letter, I am still with a heavy heart. You see, on Saturday, Feb. 27, I lost an important part of my life. My mother and my friend, Mrs. DeeEtte Page Scott, departed this life to be with our heavenly father.

The purpose of this letter is to give special thanks to everyone at Regency Park Health Care Center. The respect, love and utmost dignity that you all showed to my mother will never be forgotten. Our family trusted you, depended on you and needed you to take care of this special lady, and you never let us down. She was honored, loved and pampered in a way that cannot be matched. From bringing her a special request from the kitchen, to sitting with her while she would reminisce, to taking her to play Bingo, she never wanted for anything.

Sometimes, when a loved one must go to live in a health care facility, the decision can be heart wrenching. Like most families, we had concerns of our own. Once we were able to get mother settled in, we saw quickly that this was not a typical setting. The staff became like family and I always knew that our needs would be met and our wishes honored.

I will always appreciate what you all meant to my mother. Words cannot express my deepest appreciation. Each and every one of you will always hold a special place in my heart. I have heard it said that friendship isn’t one big thing, it is a million little things. This could not be more true in the way that I feel for all of you.
