We say that we want a better life for ourselves and our children. We say we want better jobs and better homes. We say that we want better schools and higher hopes for the future. We say that we want more honesty in our politics. We say we want reform in our tax code and we want our government to live within the same set of rules that we live by. We say that the people in Washington should not be able to give themselves a raise without merit. We say that the courts should be above reproach and justice should not be “just us.” We say that the Constitution is only surpassed by our faith in our God. We say all these things and much, much more and then we turn on the TV and say maybe somebody will start cleaning up this mess.
Wake up, get up and educate yourself so you will be able to make a sane judgment, and get out and vote before your government tells you that you don’t have to because they have taken care of that for you.
