Vercie L. Hendricks Cooper



Vercie L. Hendricks Cooper, 84 of Cohutta, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Ridgewood Manor Health Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Cooper; parents, Carl and Mae Hendricks; two brothers, J.C. and Ernest Hendricks.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of North Whitfield Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry J. and Mary Ann Cooper of Cohutta and Bobby E. and Judy Cooper of Dalton; sister, Viola Roberson of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Jessie and Annette Hendricks of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Joy and Dale Stanley, Tiffany and Clay Coker, Heather and Sean O’Connor; great-grandchildren, Shanna Stanley, Kyle Stanley, Kelly Coker; great-great-grandchild, Caitlyn Fetzer.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cooper will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Minister Mike Lusk officiating.

Burial will be in Varnell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 until 8 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the cure, P.O. Box 11288, Chattanooga, TN 37401 or the Georgia Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association, 922 E. Morris St., Dalton, GA 30721.
