Lucille Starks

Mrs. Lucille Starks, 85, of the Dalton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Ridgewood Manor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Starks; parents, Doss and Ruby McMahan; and brother, E.B. McMahan.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Joyce Starks of Dalton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Jean McMahan of Rocky Face, Hoyt and Katherine McMahan of Dalton and Trammell and Irene McMahan of Townsend, Tenn.; grandchildren, Suzanne and Mark Roberts and Amy and Steve Roberts; and great grandchildren, Jake, Carson, Kendall, Justin and Chase Roberts.

The funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Gentry Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or American Diabetes. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Ridgewood Manor for the care and concern expressed during her stay at the nursing home.
