Carrie "Jimmie" Montgomery



Carrie ‘Jimmie’ Montgomery, 86, of Tunnel Hill, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at Alexian Healthcare.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Montgomery; a daughter, Katy Krause; two sons, Wesley and Ossie Montgomery.

She is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Sheila and Yves Remillard of Chattanooga, Shirley Rhudy of Orlando and Sondra Leonard of Ringgold; two sisters, Novella Childers of Chattanooga and Johnnie Frye of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Pam O’Donald of Keith and Bill and Maude O’Donald of Atlanta; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services are Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN, 37416.
