Joseph W. Johnson

Mr. Joseph W. Johnson, 74, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009.

Mr. Johnson was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force. Joe was most proud of being one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed sharing his faith with those around him and was very thankful to have had Ira Mason dedicate time to bringing him to service each Sunday. Joe’s daughters would like to personally thank Ira for his efforts to help Joe remain an active member of his church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Joseph Johnson; brothers, Bud Hosier and June Hosier; and sister, Violet McFalls.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Brian Montgomery and Mary Sue and Doug Smith; grandchildren, Chad Cloer, Joye Cloer, Cameron Lawson and Abram Smith; former wife, Lola Johnson; stepgrandchildren, Brandon and Dalton Montgomery.

Memorial services are Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Elder John Hing officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.
