Mr. Marvin H. Tallent, 63, of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at the residence.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Tallent; sisters, Ruby and Penny Tallent.
Survivors include his wife, Betty H. Tallent of the residence; sons and daughter-in-law, Marvin Christopher Tallent, Terance A. Tallent, and Shandy Williams, all of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Cherri Deann Dodd and Greg Dodd of Calhoun; sisters, Willia Mae Kirkland of Madisonville, Tenn., Rosa Nevern Walker of Nashville, Tenn., Maxine Hitch, Wonda Quiet, Teresa Claudine Patty, all of Maryville, Tenn.; a brother, Roger Dale Tallent of Maryville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Anthony Blake Tallent and Olivia Grace Dodd; a great-granddaughter, Jordan Virginia Tallent; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
At Mr. Tallent’s request, he was cremated. A private service will be at a later date.
Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the arrangements.
