Betty J. Barrett Keeler

Mrs. Betty J. Barrett Keeler, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late James Clyde and Veta Kay Barrett and was preceded in death by her brothers, Truett Barrett, Elic Barrett, Donald Barrett and J.C. Barrett.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Lester R. Keeler Sr. of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Ann Kendall of Dalton, Scott and Candi Keeler of Dalton; daughters and son-in-law, Kay Buffington and Cindy Peek both of Tunnel Hill, Pam and Danny Cochran of Varnell; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Sandra Barrett of Dalton; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Clover of Dalton and Nellie and Leonard Suggs of Cohutta; grandchildren, Nicole Kendall, Jamie Kendall, Chris and Stephenie Jones, Jessie and Chip Lloyd, Sandi Defore, Beth Kendall, Steven Blassingame, Justin Keeler, Johnna Smith, Austin Stafford and Braden Keeler; great-grandchildren, Chloe Andes, Tanner Lloyd and Kinsley Kay Jones; nieces and nephews; special friends, Helen Suits, Stella Carter and David Buffington.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny R. Cochran officiating.

Burial will be in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home today from 5 to 9 p.m.
