Dorothy Louise Johnson



Mrs. Dorothy Louise Johnson, 82, of Apison, Tenn., departed this life Wednesday morning, Dec. 2, 2009, at her home.

Mrs. Johnson was born April 24, 1927, in Bradley County, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Phillip and Ada Sharp Head. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Johnson Jr.; a son, Odell Willis; and daughters, Louise Willis and Esta Mae Willis.

She worked many years at Whitehead Linden and at Newmark Rugs. She was a member of the Gobblers Nob Church of God.

She is survived by her son, Harvey Ray Willis of Dalton; special caregiver and granddaughter, Lisa Lynn of Apison, Tenn.; six other grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dorothy Louise Johnson are Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Brother Sam O’Neal officiating. She will be laid to rest at Frazier’s Chapel Cemetery in Bradley County, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m Friday.
