Mr. Carl Leroy Kenemer, 64, of Dalton, departed this life Sunday afternoon, Nov. 22, 2009, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Carl was born July 1, 1945, in Whitfield County, a son of the late Leroy Needham and Alma Beavers Kenemer.
Carl proudly served his country during the Vietman War in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Happy Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna Motley Kenemer of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Charles Smith; grandchildren, Haley, Ashley and Shaylee Smith, all of Tunnel Hill; sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Eugene Pickle of Chatsworth, Martha and Paul Stephenson of Rocky Face; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Motley of Tunnel Hill; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Carl Leroy Kenemer will be Wednesday at the Happy Valley Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Carlos Motley officiating. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Military graveside rites will be provided by the American Legion Post 112.
