Mr. Alondaus Lee Rogers I, 72, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009.
He was a dental assistant and veteran with the United States Army.
Alondaus started one of the first Dalton Sample Book Companies in Dalton in 1967.
He is survived by four children of the late Willa L. Slaughter, Angie Davis of Orangeburg, S.C., Lynne Swanson of Newark, Del., Lee Rogers II of Dalton and April Hilton of Chapin, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Jesse, Brandon, Grant, Anthony, Andrea, Corey and Nathan; one great-grandchild, Landon Davis and lifelong friends, Bill Cleary and Greg Hewitt.
Alondaus enjoyed bow hunting, skiing, boating, John Wayne movies and westerns.
At his request he was cremated.
The family will have a memorial visitation Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. from Temple Baptist Church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
