Renda Gail Wright

Mrs. Renda Gail Wright, of Dalton, departed this life Thursday evening, Nov. 5, 2009, at Wood Dale Health Care Center.

Renda was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Whitfield County. She was retired from Whitfield County Schools where she drove a school bus for more than 20 years. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Brown; and a niece, Saba Puryear Faith.

Renda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who worked two jobs most of the time to help her husband and provide for her children. She was simply beautiful and loved her family dearly. “Mom” we will always love you.

She is survived by her husband for 42 years, Dan Wright of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Missy Wright of Calhoun; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Charlie Rue of Vandalia, Ohio and Dana and Mike Johnson of Charleston, S.C.; mother, Mrs. Pauline Brown of Dalton; grandchildren, Tanner and Logan Wright, Abby and Emma Johnson and Madison and Marc-Taylor Wright; sisters, Shirley Puryear of Chatsworth and Connie Patterson of Dalton; brothers, Randall Brown of Rocky Face and Earl Brown of Dalton; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Renda Gail Wright are Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Antioch Cemetery with her minister, Brother Barry Gilreath officiating. Pallbearers will be Austin Fowler, Mike Johnson, Dale Puryear, Conrad Puryear, Don Kittle and Mike Fowler.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.
