Selma Anderson

Mrs. Selma Anderson, 86, of Dalton, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Moses Anderson Sr.; two sons, Mr. Moses Anderson Jr. and Mr. George Anderson; one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Jean Bonds; and one granddaughter, Ms. Makeba Bonds.

Survivors are her loving family, one daughter, Mrs. Elaine Anderson (Mickey Bryant) Payton of Dalton; daughter-in-law, Ms. Alice Anderson of Chattanooga; brother, Mr. Paul Anderson of Valley Grove, W.Va.; sister, Mrs. Minnie Tolson of Wheeling, W.Va.; six grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; a devoted niece, Ms. JoAnn Smith of Dalton; other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Services are Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mountain Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry D. Jones Sr. officiating.

Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Saturday and the family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Home Inc. of Dalton.
