Marvin D. Witherow

Mr. Marvin D. Witherow, 79, of Chatsworth, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Chatsworth Healthcare Center.

He was a member of Holly Creek Baptist Church.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Arzelle Witherow; a brother, Arvil Witherow; a sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and James Cooper.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Witherow of Chatsworth; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Pam Witherow of Chatsworth, Jimmy and Christy Witherow of Waleska; grandchildren, Kelly Harden, Russell Witherow, Logan Witherow, and Jake Witherow; great-grandchildren, Kris and Jasper Witherow, Julie Ann Harden; sister and brother-in-law, Jewel and Gus Thomas; brother and sister-in-law, Earnest and Sudie Witherow; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. T.D. and Pat Hooker; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Holly Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Cochran, Dr. T.D. Hooker and the Rev. John Bagley officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m.

Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
